Hi, I'm Sheldon Reiff — a husband and dad living in the beautiful state of Michigan, and I've been fascinated by cell phones, cell phone plans, and coverage areas ever since I was a teenager. Over the years I've been with many different carriers, and I make a point of keeping up on the best plans available — it's genuinely something I enjoy.

"It frustrates me that so many people are spending more than they have to — and I wish I could help every one of them."

Along the way, I've helped a lot of people save money on their cell phone plans. Many people are paying much more than they really need to.

The problem? Most people have never had someone in their life who could help them find a better option. Or they didn't even realize a better option existed — because they have other priorities, other things going on, and simply don't have the time or interest to sit down and research where to even start.

That's exactly why I built Mobile Bill Busters. You shouldn't have to become a cell plan expert just to stop overpaying. That's what I'm here for. Submit your plan for free and let me do the research — the same way I've done it for friends and family for years.

A Feature I Use Personally — Dual SIM

Two Networks on One Phone — Here's Why I Did It

There's another technology that has improved a lot in recent years — Dual SIM. Many newer phones can have two different active lines at the same time. Depending on how economical you want to be, one line can be a simple data-only eSIM on a yearly plan — as cheap as $5 for two full years for 1GB of data, which can also be used for roaming in Canada and some other countries.

For most people this option is mainly about having a backup network available on your phone — for emergencies, or for when your primary carrier doesn't have coverage in a certain spot. I can tell you from personal experience: there have been times in my area where one of the major networks went down for a day or so, or in my local towns when one network just doesn't work because of poor reception or just from being overcrowded and slow at the time when I need it. Being able to just switch over to the other network and have great service was incredibly handy.

This is something I currently do on my own plan. It costs almost nothing and the peace of mind of always having a backup network is genuinely worth it.

One gigabyte of data isn't a huge amount — but it's more than enough for emergency use. And if you want more, you can pay a little more to get a little more data. The options range all the way up to getting a full second phone number with data, calling, and messaging on a completely separate network.

That's a more involved setup — but there are even options for $10 per month for a full second line with calling and texting. You can literally have two active phone numbers on two different networks on the same device. Handy for keeping work and personal separate, or just having rock-solid coverage everywhere you go.

Dual SIM — What Are Your Options?
💾
Emergency Data Only
From $2.50/yr
1GB data-only eSIM for backup coverage. Works for roaming in Canada and some other countries too. The most economical option.
📶
More Data, Same Idea
A little more per year
Want more than 1GB as a backup? Pay a bit more for a larger data bucket — still very affordable compared to a full second line.
📱
Full Second Number
From ~$10/mo
Data + calls + texts on a completely separate number and network. Perfect for separating work and personal, or maximizing coverage everywhere.
🌐
Triple Network (Advanced)
Varies
It's even possible to have three different networks saved on your phone — AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Only two can be active at once, but you can switch as needed.

One important note about Dual SIM: your phone needs to be unlocked to use two different carrier networks. Most phones become unlocked automatically after you've finished paying them off, or after a certain period with your carrier. If you're not sure whether yours is unlocked — that's something we check as part of the Dual SIM consultation process.
